Key aspects that we would.like to share:
1. Condoms are not perfect with respect to protecting from pregnancy. When it comes to how effective, it depends with some statistics suggesting around 82% effective
2. One of the issues in public health is that doctors/physicians limit their conversation with teens, which becomes even more important during these social media times
3. Public health data suggests that teens who marry early have higher cases of divorces within 10 years after marriage compared to those who complete higher education, and wait
4. For the above-mentioned reason (3), these teens also face financial distress compared to those who wait to complete their education
5. Certain studies show that free access to condoms amongst teenagers in school need not limit teen pregnancy; Instead, it could.lead to curiosity effect coined by our Founder - Curious to test out, and the belief that the risk of pregnancy is mitigated by using condoms
6. According to a CDC study, (2015)
A. Young people accounted for an estimated 22% of all new HIV diagnoses in US
B. Half of nearly 20 million STDs reported each year were among youngsters between 15-24
C. Nearly 230000 babies were born to teen girls ages 15-19
