Gender based pay gap for physicians - Continuation of an earlier post
As can be seen, the pay gap for physicians, in this case, OB/GYN is close to 0.9, and not 0.74. Moreover, more women are lesser than 45 years of age compared to men suggesting years of experience could play a part. As pointed out earlier, this data does not reflect the point that there are more than two times male physicians compared to female physicians (in general). Other factors such as, location, nature of organization also comes into play. We will see more such analytics in the coming weeks.
